چکیده
The Momela soda lakes consist of seven small, hypersaline, alkaline lakes, situated in the East African rift valley at Arusha National Park, Tanzania. are fed by separate underground water sources with slightly varying mineral contents resulting colour variation and supporting different kinds prokaryotic eukaryotic species. In this study, diversity Actinobacteria surface sediments five Lakes were investigated using culture-dependent culture-independent molecular techniques. A total 34 out 112, 13 85, representatives isolates clones, respectively, selected for gene sequencing CD-HIT program. Analysis their 16S rRNA sequences displayed presence species affiliated to 15 genera, namely Mycobacterium, Rhodococcus, Microbacterium, Isoptericola, Dietzia, Leucobacter, Jonesia, Nesterenkonia, Micrococcus, Streptomyces, Hoyosella, Norcadiopsis, Cellulomonas, Bogoriella, Agromyces. results showed 5 12 putative new respectively. This is first report isolation bacteria from genus Mycobacterium a lake globally, as well genera Leucobacter Agromyces Africa. Because known source biotechnologically important compounds, revealed set platform search novel bioactive compounds.

Surprising Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic Diversity, Community Structure and Biogeography of Ethiopian Soda Lakes
Soda lakes are intriguing ecosystems harboring extremely productive microbial communities in spite of their extreme environmental conditions. This makes them valuable model systems for studying the connection between community structure and abiotic parameters such as pH and salinity. For the first time, we apply high-throughput sequencing to accurately estimate phylogenetic richness and composi...
متن کاملDiversity, activity, and abundance of sulfate-reducing bacteria in saline and hypersaline soda lakes.
Soda lakes are naturally occurring highly alkaline and saline environments. Although the sulfur cycle is one of the most active element cycles in these lakes, little is known about the sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB). In this study we investigated the diversity, activity, and abundance of SRB in sediment samples and enrichment cultures from a range of (hyper)saline soda lakes of the Kulunda Ste...
متن کاملPhylogenetic trees of the phylum ACTINOBACTERIA
Phylogenetic analyses of the SSU rRNA sequences of representatives of the phylum Actinobacteria were performed to identify the major taxonomic groups. The current release of the integrated small subunit rRNA database of the SILVA project [1] provided the sequences. The tools of the ARB software package [2] were used for data evaluation, optimization and phylogenetic inference. The alignment of ...
متن کاملAnt diversity and distribution in Acadia National Park, Maine.
Exotic ant species are a primary threat to ant biological diversity, posing a negative impact to native ant communities. In this study, we examine species richness of ants (family Formicidae) in Acadia National Park, ME, as a fundamental step toward understanding the present impact of the exotic species Myrmica rubra on native ant species. Twelve habitat types were sampled, along six transects...
متن کاملPhylogenetic Diversity and Biological Activity of Actinobacteria Isolated from the Chukchi Shelf Marine Sediments in the Arctic Ocean
Marine environments are a rich source of Actinobacteria and have the potential to produce a wide variety of biologically active secondary metabolites. In this study, we used four selective isolation media to culture Actinobacteria from the sediments collected from the Chukchi Shelf in the Arctic Ocean. A total of 73 actinobacterial strains were isolated. Based on repetitive DNA fingerprinting a...
